Review: Amazon Career Day

On September 16, 2020, Amazon hosted its virtual “Career Day.” It was a two-hour and forty-five-minute conference of sessions with special guests and company execs. There were discussions regarding Amazon’s grand culture, personal branding, the application tracking system (ATS), opportunities to grow from within, and an employee’s life-changing story.

Overall, it was decent and reinforced the things many career experts have promoted. However, it didn’t provide real information on how to get a job at Amazon. It would be helpful to know what Amazon looks for in applications, the interview methods Amazon uses, and whether they respond to applicants during the process. That information would have been helpful, given the current situation.
