Cost
I waited too long. It’s unlike me to stay in one place, rooted to the floor. Everything is withering to dust. I squandered the opportunity for satisfaction. Loyalty was the motivation, the inspiration of a fool.

Campfire
Listening to the tides; Beneath the clear night sky as the fire dies. Dissipating imaginations rise but something stokes the flames and the fire burns hot again.

Single Drop
Subtle change in the sky Blue clarity turns ambiguous Atmosphere swells with emotion A single drop of rain Releases a storm

Insensitive
The plot thickens; he played the game So timid, so close to victory, tasting a hint of defeat. The game of his life, trashed and trodden Beneath unexpected cowardice. Jack Daniels slowly evaporating Within the cool glass; nerves Growing numb to personal sentiments Listening to “insensitivity” plea for attention. Clinging to that moment, promising something […]

Drought
The summer heat is unsettling. Weathering the drought of enthusiasm is taking its toll. The humidity is a reminder of what we no longer have. The gentle rain that refuses to fall.

Mid-Way
I can’t believe that we are in the month of July. The year 2016 is a cluster of bad news and professional frustrations. Nothing is what it seems. The world is a very cruel place. I fell into a very strong pessimistic mindset, which is tainting my views on life. My time spent writing has diminished. This […]

Muhammad Ali [1942 – 2016]
“I know where I’m going and I know the truth. I don’t have to be what you want me to be. I’m free to be what I want.” – Muhammad Ali

Prince (1958 – 2016)
“When I’m writing [songs], some days the pen just goes. I’m not in charge and I’m almost listening outside of it. That’s when I realize that we all have to start looking at life as a gift. It’s like listening to a color and believing that these colors have soul mates and once you get […]

Review: The Walking Dead – “Last Day on Earth”
Season 6 Recap: We watched the Alexandria community defend themselves against the Wolves, and an overwhelming horde of Zombies. Our hearts stopped when we saw the perpetual death of Glenn Rhee and we breathed a sigh of relief during his resurrection from beneath the dumpster. Father Gabriel’s rebirth from fearful pacifist to last rites warrior, the […]

A light beyond the Boundaries of knowledge Touches the lips of Secluded essence allowing Her heart to Manifest still desires. Weaving chaos between Her mind and soul, Simplicity and Complication, Intertwined giving birth to Confusion’s growing inanity. Moments wandering between Elation and Agony fading towards Unrequited silence. No warning… No reason… Leaving her to Seek […]

Candy Land
Every night and every day we see some candy behind the glass display. Predetermined goodies for consumption; those cream-filled morsels upfront to tantalize our presumptions. Vanilla treats beneath the lights; devoid of illumination are those dark chocolate delights. We took pity on the cookies and cream ignoring the chocolate dreams as they melted away.

Pot of Gold
We despise the sunset; the night taunts our sanity. Twilight beckons our slumber; we are not ready to sleep. We seek the sunrise; the day pretends to matter. Gusting winds hide our voices; pouring rain drowns our presence. Time spent walking, on the wrong side of the road. Meaning is a pot of gold at […]

Review: The Walking Dead “Same Boat”
“We are all Negan.” Tonight’s episode took us through the peril consciousness; the emotional rollercoaster of killing and the weight of regret with each kill count. Rick conducts a hostage negotiation to get Carol and Maggie back. Carol and Maggie blindfolded and transported to an old, walker infested facility. Carol initiates “scared and fragile” mode to […]

Eclipse
The loss of time disrupts the beauty of sleep. History continues repeating moments that we want to forget. We listen to the whispers of the past echoing against the subconscious walls. We feel the mental trauma as the emotional wounds reopen. This untoward generation forced upon us; hungry wolves tasting weakness on the flesh of kindness. We find difficulty maintaining the […]

Today I learned that Denise Matthews, formerly known as Vanity passed away, in Fremont, California. According to a CNN report, “Her death was confirmed by Gisela Hernandez, spokeswoman for Washington Hospital Health Care System. Hernandez did not say when Matthews died or under what circumstances.” She was 57 years old.

Darkroom
The lights keep flickering; darkness reaching out between the flashes of daydreams. Memories damaged by perceptions, left alone in this empty room.
