Jaxx is adjusting well. He makes me smile. This week I’ve been assigned to work on process improvement initiatives. I’m unsure how I feel about it because of my recent experience. The weather was amicable despite the excessive heat. I took more walks than usual. I learned that Comedian David A. Arnold died of natural […]

Shattered
Waking to a dimly lit sunrise Smiling at the hope of promise Day darkens quickly Shadows pummel a shaken spirit Seeking salvation in the darkness Falling towards despair Lying within the foggy evening Wishing for a moment of sleep Unable to breathe

Settled
Another sunset, the final seconds fading on this journey of exploration. The trials and errors of experimenting with people’s opinions; the proverbial setup for failure. Decisions born from chaos. Trying times is an understatement. I believed the things I’ve seen. I trusted the stuff I’ve heard. My mind dismantled; my heart ripped to shreds. The […]

Sifting Time
Dust of Earth… Body of clay… Breath of life… End of days. —– Seconds of anticipating; Everything slows down. Foggy thoughts dissipating; Watching the effects of time.

Damaged
I’ve forgotten the words. Sunlight is fading so soon. Falling was impactful. More than I realized.

End of Days
The heat of unexpected delimmas begin to subside. The waves no longer crashing on this broken frame. Those moments of misleading portrayals and righteous denials, forgiven. Daylight is starting to fade. Summer watched my public shame; Autumn will heal this overwhelming pain.

Dust
September rain washing away the dust. The autumn breeze clearing away the summer clouds. My horizon descends quickly towards supplication. I think of the last sunset; watching the indigo ink spilling on the pale memories. My Sunshine, losing her smile.

Pot of Gold
We despise the sunset; the night taunts our sanity. Twilight beckons our slumber; we are not ready to sleep. We seek the sunrise; the day pretends to matter. Gusting winds hide our voices; pouring rain drowns our presence. Time spent walking, on the wrong side of the road. Meaning is a pot of gold at […]

Sunset
Voices echo from the halls of distant memories; the sky darkened by migrating shadows. Love was found at the height of appeal; that moment of joy arrived quickly and deteriorated rapidly. Life consumed the space reserved for happiness; absence of trust broke our hearts and shattered our perceptions. We know the question and fear the answer; […]

Moments
I have forgotten the smell of spring rain; the birth of joy a distant memory. Cherry blossoms fell like snow; trampled by the feet of dockets. I was burned by the heat of summer; my body branded “a fool”. The muscle in my chest dried out; love consumed by a lasting drought. I was touched […]

Fading Skies
Moments written upon tattered pages Absorbing the last drops of ink. Her melancholy spirit seeing The threads of tomorrow Unravel along the edges. Hearing the words from those She loved whispering, “Close your eyes.” Refusing to wait for twilight; Deciding to watch the sun Disappear, within the fading skies.
