The warmth of summer
begins to cool; lately
we reach for the dimming
light of the sun.
The faces we see every day;
everyone and everything
seemingly remains the same.
The storm, floods
and muddy roads
deepen our burdens.
All those aches and pains.
“I love you,”
sometimes we forget those
silly little words.
