I watched “Star Trek: Strange New Worlds” season two, episode seven “Those Old Scientists;” I haven’t watched an episode of “Star Trek: Lower Decks,” so I wasn’t familiar with the characters Boimler and Mariner but that did not take anything away from my enjoyment of this episode. A clever story about time travel into the past and meeting Starfleet legends that inspired Boimler and Mariner to join Starfleet Command. The animated intro had me feeling nostalgic for the “Star Trek: The Animated Series” Saturday morning cartoon.
