The public shaming of me for not attending the holiday party commenced yesterday. Our managing director walked over and said to the group, “Someone let David know what he missed last night.” Another exec saw me and said, “I didn’t see you last night,” and I replied, “I wasn’t there,’ to which he replied, “Other things?” Yeah, this is one of the reasons why I want to retire.

I learned André Braugher’s death was due to lung cancer.

Last night, I watched episodes five and six of “Bookie.” Danny and Ray are the two luckiest people in this series, and their antics are hilarious.

This week has been a test of patience and anxiety; I have been taking a pause to think before I respond to people. While people seem to be okay with my work for now, I want to leave and do other things. Happy Friday.
