I don’t know what to do anymore.
Last Wednesday, I thought I was doing the right thing to get a report out before the Friday deadline; some entries required follow-up, which would only happen after the reporting deadline. I asked the submitter to contact two of our team members because they were out of the office during the deadline. I submitted the report on Thursday during the holiday because I was scheduled to be out of the office on Friday.
Yesterday afternoon, I received “feedback” correcting my approach and clarifying my responsibilities and that the report is due on Friday. I thanked the giver for the feedback I received.
I can’t explain the emotional depths I sunk into on Monday. Nothing is going well with me right now, and I didn’t sleep again last night.
