The world continues to burn.

I started my new job last Wednesday; I like the people I work with and the company’s purpose, and my boss seems decent, too. I am determined to maintain a positive attitude regardless of what may happen.

I started reading a book titled ‘How Democracies Die‘ by Steven Levitsky and Daniel Ziblatt. ‘The Horse, the Stag, and the Hunter’ from Aesop’s Fables is a great analogy for explaining how authoritarianism works.

Over the weekend, I watched ‘Ip Man‘ and ‘Ip Man: The Finale‘; the first film and the last film. I enjoyed Donnie Yen’s portrayal of the legendary character.

The pollen still plagues my days. I’m looking forward to the cooler temperatures this week.
