The workday started like yesterday. An hour into the day, we had a meeting to announce the departure of my boss. There was nothing but silence. I continued the day conducting training with new hires. We ended early, allowing the class to work on their onboarding paperwork.
I arrived home feeling relieved that the day was over; later that night, I received a message from one of my students. Someone she knew exposed her to COVID-19.
