What else can I say about this past week? My boss took time off beginning last Wednesday and returning this Tuesday; my co-worker took time off on the same days, but no one told me she would be out of the office or that I would be the department point of contact. I’ve completed 50 days of a 90-day probation, and I am starting to see why project managers don’t stay.
Today, I ate a slice of chuck roast and got weirded out by the crunchy fragments of broken glass in my mouth. I don’t think I swallowed any of the pieces, but who knows. After my wife and I investigated where the glass might have come from, we noticed that the dish used to cook the meat and gravy was broken.
I watched ‘Punisher: One Last Kill,’ which was very good, as well as ‘The Boys’ season five episode seven; I am looking forward to the series finale this week.

The Rousey vs. Carano MMA fight last night lasted 17 seconds and left me with mixed feelings.
I’m still reading the book ‘How Democracies Die’ authored by Steven Levitsky and Daniel Ziblatt.
This is how democracies die, blatant dictatorship. Many government effort to subvert democracy are ‘legal’ in the sense they are approved by legislature or approved by the courts.
I hope this is a better week for everyone.
